Sound Clip

The sound clip I have chosen is the longest among all the sound clip upload on CCA blackboard. The others voice clip duration are below 14 seconds or lower. Considering this is a huge challage for me. Beside I need to finish this within 2 weeks and must maintain the quality and quatity of both.

Futhermore I had been force to rest for 1 week, due of some huge red spot grew between my left eye and nose. However thanks for the extension offer to all students, otherwise I have to complete the job in one week.

Working Progress


In this new progress, I have remove some unnecssary action, but the timing of body movement will still follow the video refrence 2 I upload on my video refrence section

 

 After get some feedback from my lecture and friend, I finally get into a refine stage. And start to set up some environment staff. I will focus and keep refine my animation until saturday. Will update again on saturday morning before rendering on sunday.

the two video above is an early stage idea for my animation, but lately I find out 'yes' animation do indeed need exaggerate, simple action is enough to represent a strong body language to tell the story

Here is the video I taking myself, After some critics I cut down a lot unecessary action, and make it simple to look and understand to audience and others animator.

Character Setup

I have decided to use the character provide by University Teesside the alfred. Alfred has the most rich expression among all the characters I explored and have a flexible month rigging. In the story, he will cast as a angry and envy man. He will be set to stay at a poor and dirty small room, which his friend offer him a place to stay but he is not satisfy. Beside he has been scold or blame by his friend during some working period, but he could not do anything against him. Therefore the only way to release his anger is cursing his friend photo. I made a note on how he says, "..I will never forget you aska...." the way he speak for this sentence has turn his anger to darkness, which bring himself an evil smile and preparing for some revenge plan.

Environment Design

The environment will be set on a small, narrow, and poor room, which only have 1 bed and there is no extra cupboard to keep his T-shirt.

Deadline Extension

extra one week extension had given by our lecture, Now I have more time to refine my animation and make it prefect

Animation Analysis

In this post, I will discuss and analyse my animation that I have completed for the CCA module. I fear the general consensus of my animated piece is being overlooked for being overly subtle and/or simplistic.

The intended of this piece is to pick up the challange to be concise, fully focus on lipsync , smooth animation with simple gesture. Before I start the animation I have decide either I need to focus lipsync with animation or just lipsync. After listen to some comment and critics, I finally decide to focus on lipsync and create a new video refrence 2, instead of video refrence 1 which consist too much irrelevant and unnecessary complicated action, and tend to minimize the focus on lipsync.

In this voice clip, I have analysed and decided that the character is making an unpleasure statement, the main character is releasing his anger aganist someone who are on top of him.

Due of the voice clip in on angry condition, some big movement is inevitable. Beside I
decide to being put extra effort on this assigment, since it is very important for me to strengthen my showreel in the future. Beside some action is necessary to add on to enhanced the animation attraction. For me the animation must done to convice not only for audience but for animators too, althought the audience would not care or notice, but prefect the animation is a main professional principle of being animator.
